Yandex.Money: Deposits and Withdrawals through PrivatBank

April 15, 2013

Starting today, Yandex.Money users can add money to their e-wallets accounts using PrivatBank cards. They can withdraw money at any PrivatBank ATM in Ukraine.

Now, PrivatBank card holders will only spend a couple of minutes to transfer funds from their bank cards to their Yandex.Money accounts. The bank card doesn’t have to be linked to a Yandex.Money Wallet, and users don’t need to remember all the cards’ details. Adding money is now similar to purchasing goods at an online store. A user just needs to enter the card’s details, and money will be credited immediately. A flat commission of 49 rubles (approximately 13 hrivnya) is charged for adding money with a bank card.

To ensure additional security for users, money can only be added using bank cards protected by 3-D Secure technology. This means the card’s owner will be asked to enter a one-time code from a text message sent by the bank. Clients of other Ukrainian banks that offer 3-D Secure can also use bank cards to add money to their accounts.

To withdraw money from their Yandex.Money accounts, users can choose from over 8,100 PrivatBank ATMs all over Ukraine. The account owner submits a request on the Yandex.Money website and specifies his cell phone number. When the money is available at an ATM, the bank sends the recipient a text message notification. Commission is 3% of the amount plus 15 rubles (approximately 4 hrivnya). The option of withdrawing Yandex.Money through an ATM is available to all the identified users of the service.
