Linking your card and wallet

Linking the card is convenient if you use it to pay online without adding money to your wallet.

You specify card details once, and our service saves them. Later on, when you're making a payment, you will only need to specify the CVC. No one will get your bank card details, and you won't have to waste time on entering them for each payment.

The maximum number of cards you can link to your wallet is five cards, free of charge.

How it works

You specify the bank card details, and we save them in an encrypted form (inside your wallet). After that, you can choose where to pay from:

• from the wallet's balance if you have money on it. In this case, your card does not take part in the payment process,

• from your linked bank card. In this case, money is debited from your card balance and transferred through your wallet to the store: the entire process happens instantly. On the store's side, the payment is designated as being made from the wallet.

Which bank cards can be linked

You can use any debit or credit card: Visa and Visa Electron, MasterCard and Maestro, and "Mir" cards.

The card must be issued by any bank within Russia or one of the following countries:

If you have such a card, but you can't link it, call your bank: online payments may be forbidden for this card.

It's possible to link other cards on a technical level, but there's not much use to it: the majority of payments won't be processed.

About the YooMoney card: you don't need to link it to your wallet. You already issue it for a certain wallet (or sign in to the corresponding account before activating it, if this is a pre-issued YooMoney card), meaning the card and your wallet are linked from the start and have a shared balance.

LInking and unlinking the card

You can view the page for linking in the "Linked Cards" section of the wallet's settings.

1. You will need to enter your bank card details: number, expiration date, CVC.

2. Then specify a one-time password (issued or sent by your bank).

3. We will transfer 1 ruble (plus one kopeck of commission) from your card to your wallet as a test.

If you do not enter your one-time password, the linking attempt will be automatically aborted in 24 hours.

If you did not receive the password or it didn't work, you can try again: our website will offer you to check the test amount at the bank, which may a mount to up to 10 rubles: the bank reserves it on your card for verification.

You can unlink the card from the wallet at any moment, also in the settings. Click "Unlink" and enter your password. In a few moments, the card will be removed.

Why link several cards

You may need it if you want to choose the card you want to pay with in the course of a payment. For example, if the card you use the most ran out of money.

One card is considered to be primary: you can select which one in your settings. The primary card is required when a payment is made without your participation, for example, if you've activated an autopayment on our website or allowed third-party apps to debit money from your account.

Paying and transferring money from the card

If you are on our website, simply select your card as the payment method and enter its CVC.

If you are on a store's website, first select YooMoney, then select your card.

If your card has been reissued

When the card expires, it automatically unlinks from your wallet. If you already have a new card, simply link it to your wallet (and cancel the link to the one that has expired).

You can link, unlink, or use other options in the "Settings" section.

Commission and limits

We do not charge additional commission for payments with a linked bank card: conditions are always the same as for payments with your wallet.

If you linked several bank cards, monthly and daily payment limits are applied to all cards together (not for each one separately).

Limits for Visa, MasterCard, and "Mir" cards:

There are also limits on the number of transactions: you can make up to 15 payments a day from linked bank cards.
