November 22, 2018

Yandex.Checkout partners with BMW Group Russia to offer Russian customers an online preorder of the new flagship BMW X7, available at dealers starting in spring 2019. The cooperation between Yandex.Checkout and BMW Group Russia has already resulted in exclusive preordering offers for MINI cars in Russia.

Online preorder of brand new cars is rapidly gaining popularity in Russia. According to the latest data provided by Yandex.Checkout, the number of customers making online prepayments on cars via Yandex.Checkout in October 2018 has increased 14 times over the same period of 2017.

«For us, business development is closely connected to the expansion of customer services, which is why we are proud to introduce this new option of online preordering at the BMW website and take one more step towards the digitalization of sales process. This platform will complement the existing offline processes as a new communication channel between our clients and us. The online sales experience with the exclusive MINI Collection 25 proves to be a success demonstrating that this strategy is suitable for the new flagship BMW X7,» says Stefan Teuchert, President and CEO at BMW Group Russia.

«Yandex.Checkout’s stats show Russians’ growing confidence in e-commerce. More customers are ready to buy luxury and expensive products online. We believe that online platforms will become the main distribution channels for high-end products, particularly in the automotive industry,» comments Dmitry Karmishin, Sales Director at Yandex.Money.

BMW X7 is already available for preorder in the US, Canada, and China. Now, Russian customers also have the advantage of an early order: spec the car as desired, choose the nearest dealer center, and make an online prepayment in the amount of 150 thousand rubles (approximately $2,280) without any additional fees.
