Online security for bank cards
To pay online, you need to provide your bank card number, the three-digit code specified on the reverse side (CVC), and the expiration date. These details must be kept in secret:
if you want to write the bank card details down, do it in parts: keep the card number in one place, and CVC somewhere else;
transfers require only your bank card's number, do not provide any other information;
when making a payment, look for the PCI DSS logo: it indicates that the website works in accordance with the international security standards.
We provide additional security: if you link your card to the YooMoney wallet, you won't need to specify its details for payments at online stores anymore.
Linking your card to YooMoney
How it works:
You provide your bank card details on a secure page. We encrypt and save them.
Payment with a linked bank card is processed through your wallet: the store does not get your card's details.
To confirm a payment, enter your card's CVC and the one-time password sent by the bank (if your card supports 3-D Secure).
While linking your bank card, make sure you're using the real YooMoney website. Check your browser's address bar: our URLs start with https://yoomoney.ru.
Security in accordance with PCI DSS
PCI DSS stands for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, an international security standard adopted by the payment card industry. It includes 12 requirements for securing information. YooMoney complies with the PCI DSS standard.
Every year, certified auditors verify that our service complies with all requirements, then issue the certificate afterwards.

Additional payment confirmation (3‑D Secure)
3-D Secure requires additional confirmation for online payments with bank cards. Banks usually send text messages with one-time passwords, sometimes issue special lists of codes, and rarely set permanent passwords. Fraudsters will not be able to pay without such a password even if they manage to obtain all the other details.
3-D Secure is usually activated automatically after your card is issued. If your card doesn't have it, activate the service at the bank or at an ATM.
YooMoney's physical and virtual cards both have security enabled by default. We send passwords to the phone number linked to your wallet.
