Contactless card for Android

  • This card is suitable only for payments in offline stores. For online purchases, use your physical or virtual card.

  • The contactless card has a shared balance with the wallet, just like all YooMoney cards.

  • The card will disappear if you sign out of the profile (not just close the app, but tap on "Sign out"). All the money will remain in the wallet, and the card can be reissued just as instantly and for free.

Paying with your phone

Unlock your phone and hold it near the reader. If your phone isn't locked, open the YooMoney app and hold the device near the reader. Wait for the reader to make a sound, then take the phone away: the payment has been completed.

For payments over 1,000 ₽, you need to enter a PIN. It is sent to you in a text message when the contactless card appears in your app. You can change the PIN on the card page.

Withdrawing cash

If you have a reviewed or identified user status, you can withdraw cash at NFC-compatible ATMs. To do this, tap your unlocked phone against the ATM card reader, enter your PIN, and select the amount.

In this case, you'll always be charged a commission as if you were using a virtual card or pre-issued card.

Issues with payments or phone

I can't find the button to issue a contactless card in the app

  • Try updating the app: the OS version 11.27.2 or higher is required.

  • Check your Android version. Contactless cards require the OS version 9.0 or higher: if you have a lower version, you need to update your system.

  • Your phone may not support the NFC technology. In this case, the card can't be issued.

I have a card, but I can't pay

Possible reasons:

  • the terminal doesn't support contactless payments,

  • NFS is disabled: enable it in the phone settings and select YooMoney as the payment method,

  • insufficient funds on the balance, you need to add money,

  • you've reached one of YooMoney limits,

  • you signed out of the profile and the card stopped working. Then you need to issue a new one,

  • the OS version is lower than 11.27.2, try updating the app.

Another possible option is that you're using Xiaomi Mi5s, in which case:

  1. Navigate to Device settings — Wireless and networks — NFC — Secure element position.

  2. Select Use HCE Wallet. After that, the card should start working properly.

If nothing helps, check the device specifications: it's possible that your phone does not support contactless payments.

Phone is lost

If there's a chance it might fall into the wrong hands, block your device via Find My Device (sign in with your Google Play details).

If you have a new SIM card, don't forget to change the phone number linked to YooMoney.
