Pre-issued card

You don't have to wait for such a card: you can get one at the YooMoney office, activate it, and start paying with it like a regular card. The pre-issued card doesn't have your name on it, so enter the Cardholder name instead when making online payments.

How to receive and activate the card

At our offices in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, or Nizhny Novgorod.

One person can receive only one pre-issued card.

To pay and withdraw money, you need to activate the card: log in to the wallet and open the activation page. In the app, tap "Cards" at the bottom of the home screen, then tap "+" in the top right corner.

What's next:

  1. Enter the card number.

  2. Enter the activation code which you can find on the reverse side of the card.

  3. Confirm activation with the code from a text message, push notification, or phone call.

  4. Create a PIN for the card: you will need to enter it at payment kiosks and ATMs.

After that, 100 ₽ will be debited from your balance: if there isn't enough funds, add money to your wallet.

Now you can pay by card and withdraw cash in Russia. To transfer money, you need to receive the identified user status.

Card settings and PIN

Go to "Cards" and click on the one you need. This will take you to the card details: here you can change the PIN, disable online payments for the card, or block the card if it's lost.

Problems with the card: what to do if...

If you've already activated the pre-issued card, cancel it immediately: the "Cancel" button is located in the "Bank Cards" section. If you cannot cancel your YooMoney card by yourself, call us or contact us via chat (you need to sign in to YooMoney).

If you haven't activated your card, you don't have to take such urgent measures. However, we still recommend reporting it in our chat.

Then you can receive a new pre-issued card at our offices in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, or Nizhny Novgorod.

The card works at least until the last day of the month written on it. For example, if a card's expiration date is 03/28, it will active until March 31, 2028.

Due to the sanctions, we've extended the expiration date of some cards. The exact new date will be sent in a separate email which will come shortly before the end of the current expiration date. Additionally, you can receive a new pre-issued card at our offices in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, or Nizhny Novgorod.

Double-check the card number, CVV, and the code from a text message or push notification. If everything is correct, but the payment fails:

If you have a different problem, call us: be ready to provide the card number, the payment amount, and time. Or contact us via chat (you need to sign in to YooMoney).

If the ATM withdraws cash from other cards but not yours, check the following:

  • User status. Anonymous users can't withdraw money. If your status is different, you might have reached the limit.

  • Card settings. You might have disabled withdrawing cash: in this case, just change the settings.

  • The terms and conditions of the bank that owns the ATM. Sometimes banks set the limits on cash withdrawals from one card. Try to withdraw money from the ATM of another bank.
