Apple Pay

You can't pay with this method
For now, Mir Pay is the only contactless payment method available: to use it, you need a Mir card and an NFC-compatible Android™ device with the OS version 7.0 or later. This is how you can pay in Russia and other countries where Mir cards are accepted and Mir Pay is available.

You can also use our solution for Android: it's currently available only in Russia.

Add our card to your Apple Wallet, and you'll be able to use your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch for payments on websites, in stores, or at cafes wherever you see this icon:

Requirements

1. YooMoney card, either virtual (issued instantly) or physical (delivered by mail or courier).

2. Compatible Apple device.

For payments at regular stores:

  • iPhone SE, 6, 6s, 6 Plus, 6s Plus, 7, 7 Plus, and later models,

  • Apple Watch (1st generation), Series 1, Apple Watch Series 2, and later models.

For payments online:

  • iPhone SE, 6, 6s, 6 Plus, 6s Plus, 7, 7 Plus, and later models,

  • iPad mini 3, mini 4, Air 2, Pro (12.9 and 9.7 inches), and later models,

  • Mac 2012 and later versions with a compatible iPhone or iPad.

The required versions are at least 10.1 for iOS, 3 for watchOS, 10.12 for macOS.

Adding a card to Apple Pay

There are two options: you can add it via your Apple Wallet or the YooMoney app. Our app makes it quicker: you won't have to enter your card details.

In YooMoney app

  1. Download or update the YooMoney app. Version 5.1 or later is required.

  2. In the Cards section, click the Add to Wallet button next to the YooMoney card number.

  3. Confirm the action with a text message code.

In Apple Wallet

Open the Wallet, click Add the payment card, and enter your YooMoney card details. Confirm the action with a text message code.

The card that was added to your Apple Wallet first becomes the "Default Card": money for all purchases will be debited from this card. You can change the default card in the "Settings" app (for iPhone or iPad) or the Watch app (for Apple Watch). In both cases, you will need to find Wallet and Apple Pay sections.

Paying with your phone

Online using iPhone or iPad

  1. Click the "Buy" button with the Apple Pay icon.

  2. Confirm the payment with Touch ID on your phone or tablet.

Money will be debited from the card you set as the default one. If you want to pay with another card, do not put your finger on Touch ID right away: tap the card icon first (it will appear on the phone or tablet screen). Your device will suggest selecting another card from your Apple Wallet.

In stores and at cafes, using iPhone

Press your finger against Touch ID and hold your phone near the reader. Wait for the reader to make a sound, then take the phone away: the payment is successful.

Money will be debited from the card you set as the default one. If you want to pay with another card, do not put your finger on Touch ID right away: first, hold your smartphone near the reader and click the card icon. Your device will suggest selecting another card from your Apple Wallet.

In stores and at cafes, using Apple Watch

  1. Tap your Apple Watch's side button twice.

  2. Hold your Apple Watch screen near the reader.

  3. A slight vibration indicates that the payment's been made: get the payment receipt.

Money will be debited from the card you set as the default one. If you want to pay with another card, do not tap the side button right away: first, hold your Apple Watch near the reader and click the card icon. Your device will suggest selecting another card from your Apple Wallet.

When you pay more than 1,000 ₽ at a store or in a cafe, you will need to enter the PIN to confirm the payment. If you don't know the PIN, change it in the card's settings on the YooMoney website or in the app.

Issues with phone or card

Phone is lost

Turn on Lost Mode on the Apple website immediately: Apple Pay will be blocked on this device. You don't need to block the cards added to Apple Wallet.

If you have a new SIM card, don't forget to change the phone number linked to YooMoney.

Payment isn't coming through

Possible reasons:

  • the reader doesn't support contactless payments,

  • not enough money in your wallet; you need to add money to it,

  • you've reached one of YooMoney limits,

  • your YooMoney card has expired (virtual card expires in one year, physical card expires in 3 years),

  • you're paying somewhere outside of Russia and your user status is anonymous; in this case, you need to upgrade it.

If none of these reasons apply, contact us via chat (you need to sign in to YooMoney).

The card has expired

When the card you added to Apple Pay expires, issue a new one and add it to Apple Wallet. You can remove the old one.

I forgot my PIN

Simply change it in the "Bank Cards" section on the YooMoney website or in the app.
